Sluggypup meets a toad!

What a beauty - the toad, not the nose! Did Sluggypup try and pick it up? My old Mungo tried once and discovered very quickly that they don't taste too good - he never tried again :)

Isn't he lovely! Sluggy didn't try to pick it up because I didn't give her the chance. After so many dead in my pond I was so happy to see him/her? I often go out at night with the torch to see what I can find and as it's been raining this evening they have all emerged.

Sluggy would get a surprise if your toad did a jump...lol

They stay so remarkably still though, under the circumstances!!

i just love toads and frogs but have to watch casper as he catches them and brings them home.
lulu they stay still as to seem dead if caught by preditors such as our cats and dogs lol

thats good lulu, i manage to rescue them from him but poor things are scared to death, i pop them in my pond, well the frogs, the toads he doesnt seem to like, they must have a nasty taste when he carries them. its sad when any die though.
