Apparently they are Drc. I have them in a trough and they seem to be very happy.

You are doing well with them outside.in the wild they are normally covered in snow in winter,they are soaked with water from the snow melt in spring then dried to a crisp for the summer, that probably about right where you are.not sure what happens in the autumn,perhaps they don't have one.lol

Grandma ge . . . how did you overwinter them?? Were they out in the open? I've never managed to keep a Lewisia from one year to the next, as once they get water in them, they seem to expire! Would love to know your secret. Thanks.

They are like sweetie colours arent they, 6d, Holly & Pp.Do you remember space ships full of sherbert? Like those. Thanks again Paul.
Sheila, I planted these in my hubbs. train, and I put the container on a slight angle on my patio door step and left them there, I never expected to see them again, they were covered in snow & ice for months and blow me they were budding two months ago!!

They are little alpine plants called Lewisia, I found them at the GC last year and put them in my hubbs. train, this year they are gorgeous, they overwintered really well.

Brilliant . . . I guess the "slight angle" was the magic touch. I've never seen Lewisias so tall either - what a treat!
