It is Muddy , the first time I saw it a couple of years ago , I think I was in shock ! I just stood and stared, it didn't seem real , we followed a stream that had a few on the banks then there became more and more until we reached the trees to see this sight stretched out as far as you could see . stunning ....

Mmmm could do with some seed to scatter over next doors weedpatch..and the one next to that LOL! I'd need half the wood I reckon.
31 May, 2011
I will send you some seed when they have some if you Like Tet.let me know !

Amy, I've always grown these seeds in trays and planted out - not sure if they would grow by scattering, what do you think.
31 May, 2011
I think they might Dawn it must be how they have spread themselves at this place naturally , there's no harm in trying but sow a few seeds in trays as well to be sure of a few more , it would save you loads of work x

Worth a try Amy. I still have lots of grass under my trees so worry if they could compete.
31 May, 2011
Thanks for the offer Amy, but I was joking..they probly would pull it out cos it would spoil the weeds!

When we went to this place last autumn to collect your seed Dawn ,it was waist high with nettles/grass etc. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to find the seed heads, I think they must be able to cope somehow.
O.k Tet , they do need a lot of room to grow as well . :o)

When I collect the seed, I'll save some for seed trays and sprinkle the rest, like you say Amy, they seem to be able to cope with the long grass and nettles etc. Thank you.
