Hope you had as beautiful a day as we've had here, I had a good tidy of the garden, and this is how the sunny border is now, I'm very pleased with the festuca grasses, they're at their peak right now....:o))

Superb border Janey. Doesn't blue fescue stand out along with the ever faithful sedum.

That's my rhubarb forcer Sticki, I used it once on the rhubarb and it killed it....Lol! Now it's just an ornament....:o)
Aw, pleased you like it Paul, two of my friends live across from me and we all have walled gardens, all with different views of the church.
Thanks Carole, pleased your Verbascum is doing well. I was shocked with the growth rate of two of mine, I was expecting them to be the smaller Spring type, these are huge, with flower spikes on already!
Thanks Dawn, yes they are great together, one of my faves.

Thanks Dd! I had been thinking there wasn't much for winter interest in there, but after I cut back and cleared away old summer stuff, quite a few hidden gems appeared....:o) Can't believe my winter jasmine is already starting to flower!!

I've always been envious of your walled garden Janey it makes such a lovely backdrop for your climbers and plants and how lovely to have a church view as well .. My Verbascums are growing rapidly I had several plants from the seed you sent me one is in flowers already they will be a lovely group next year ..

It is a lovely old wall Amy, the climber on the left was a Clematis Montana, but died in the winter, I'm wondering how to remove it, as there are other climbers intertwined....:o((. Did I send you the Snowmaiden ones Amy, they are huge aren't they, similar to the yellow Verbascum Olympian in habit. Should do well in dry areas....:o)

Lovely walled garden with a super church at the back. I had a climber that had died within another one and I gradually clipped out the old dead growth in little pieces.

Thanks Linda, the Ivy there is all in flower and has been alive with butterflies and bees this afternoon. Yes, I think sometime I'll have to get the step ladders out and make a start on that Montana, I was hoping that it may start to shoot again, but no such luck....:o((

At least you've given it a chance. Ivy's good, and we had a robin nest every year in ours.
