Have you ever tried growing Pseudopanax crassifolious? I've seen some really beautiful trees at Strybing (now called San Francisco Botanical Gardens).

Delonix they had it on sale when we bought the above ...but, OH did not like it pity!!

Dotty, please tell me if this P. sabre has survived the cold and wet Winters ... am considering planting one soon.

Shirley it has doubled in size since this photograph, will try and photograph it for you, it is planted on a bank, which is free draining......was not covered this last winter....
