This is my last painting in a series of five winter scenes, the inspirations for this one was from the local Bridle path near home from a picture Harry took of Polly and I. So Terra heres your Terrier picture, hope you like it!

on my favourites too ~ it might be the one i like best of all pansy, but each one is incredible.
is the snow painted or is that the white paper? its all so clever it might be real snow but watercolours are now intriguing me and i would love to know how you do such wonderful pictures.

Absolutely fab. Pp.

Thank you Gee, Terra, Sticki and Grandma , so much for all your comments Im so pleased you like it xx
Sticki the whitest part of the painting is the paper itself, the shading is done by wetting the paper all over then floating in colours, when thats dry you can start adding details Trees, figures ect, so go on have a go you will soon get the hang of it! so much for you comments, Im so pleased you like it as I think its the best one and the most enjoyable painting session to date and Harry my critic thinks so too, even going to look for a mount and frame too.
This one took around 3 hours in all so Terra Im pleased to hear its gone on your favourites ;0))

its just wonderful and i really think you could sell them if you wanted ~ as a picture or as cards.
this one has winter at its best and im sure there are little wind in the willows creatures peering out from the wild wood!!!
thank you for all the information,
i like to have a try at painting but i cant draw like this ~ i dont have your artist's eyes ~ you are very talented.
10 Nov, 2011
Good thing you didn't paint a West Highland White Terrier in the snow .... Lol... ;o)
10 Nov, 2011
Absolutely amazing PP - especially the speed! I love the "floating" effect you can get with watercolour - I think I can see Cobalt Blue(?) but would love to know what other colours are mingled in the snow. What a talent!!
10 Nov, 2011
what do you reckon sheila? ultramarine and or payne's grey? bit of burnt sienna too??
10 Nov, 2011
Brilliant!
10 Nov, 2011
Your right Sheila with Burnt sienna. and, Colbalt, ultramarine, also a dash of Crimson and Yellow Ochre and other mixtures in my palette just about anything goes!
We could put a White Highland Terrier in the dark undergrowth Terra lol and some rabbits and Squirrels for Sticki!
Thankyou Sheila;0)

10 Nov, 2011
great carole, i keep trying to do cards but cant seem to do my printing of words for the inside properly haha, lining it up on paper then printing, turns out all in the wrong place, wish someone could show me how.
10 Nov, 2011
you could take them somewhere like 'staples' i think they might help sanbaz?
are you using the computer for the words or are they hand written?
10 Nov, 2011
i want to print the greeting in the card sticki ie` merry xmas or happy birthday, you get the idea, but really not sure how, making cards with my art but need to make insets.
10 Nov, 2011
you can do the inserts separately, print them out and put them inside your lovely pictures mounted on card
10 Nov, 2011
yes thats what im trying to do sticki, but im not sure how to do the printing on open office and to get the words in the right place lol, iv looked at templates but cant see what i want or understand how i do it haha, will have to have a talk with art lady as she does all kinds of cards and crafts so im sure she will be able to help,, thanx for trying to help me though, not often anything gets the better of me and wont give in :o))
10 Nov, 2011
you could try word art cos that will go wherever you like, alternatively you can get little stickers specially for cards

Brrrrillian again, PP, I can feel the cold! How on earth do you do them so quickly when there is so much detail there? Fantastic.
