thanx joan, i use acrylics and this painting i didnt even use a brush, used mini paint roller, mix of colours, kitchen towel and sponge, going to glaze it to bring the colours right out ;o)) also used pollyfiller with upva glue for texture.

I wondered what you used to get the texture..thought you had used oil paints...well done anyway,another pat on the back. :o))

Hi Terra lol,i have to say i never liked modern art but since im doing art i seem to like alot of different things now.
this does look much better in life as colours seem different on photo.
this sort of thing is nice in modern surroundings and on a plain wall, the colours in the painting would normally go with room decor :o))

You would be surprised how many times I kept coming back to have another look at this ...
At first, I couldn't make up my mind, but each time I looked at it, I liked it more ... You've chosen the colours and the design very well .. :o)))

Looks like a glorius sunset Sandra. Look good in a dark corner with a spotlight on the painting.

thanx linda, its strange how people see diffrent things in a painting isnt it, at the studio everyone liked it but saw something different, it actually goes against the norm, having darkness and sun together, but carol our artist on tuesday really liked it, i was so pleased, she wants me to take it to apraisal evening to show one of our visiting artists, said she knows he will like it :o))

If you're out walking in valleys and hills when the sun goes down to a certain pitch the places that don't get the sun become dark.

Love this one too San....bright sunny colours...and I didn't know you could utilise so many different things otther than brushes or palette knife for painting on canvas, I know it can be done on walls...we learn something new all the time....Well done on this one too...

hi crissue and thankyou, yes you can just about use what you want when painting with acrylics, its all about doing what you feel and see how it turns out, they are so forgiving to, if not right block it out and start over haha
im going for new canvas tomorrow to do another abstract, funny really as i never liked them before, but its nice trying new things :o)))

I like it too, dont usually like very modern paintings but this I do like, it feels like something you have really enjoyed painting and something you would pay a high price for in an Art shop, think you have found a niche here Sandra;0))
