one year i wanted all my parcels at christmas to look smart so i got empty boxes from the supermarket and managed to put everything, whatever its shape into one box or other, when wrapped they looked lovely under the tree.

Thanks Lulu how you feeling any better?? The dog one is proving a challenge hopefully it will look OK when it is grouted was doing it yesterday... because Crystal has a big dark spot on one of her ears it started to look like blooming Pugsy the Bear!!!!! So I left it and went out and when I came back it didn't look as bad I think you can be in front of it too long and get a distorted view:)
Hope you are taking it easy and that the pain is not so bad for you?

It is good to walk away. I also take photos on my mobile, I find it easy to spot mistakes that way too.

WOW that is my favoutrite, is it very expensive to do?

13 Jan, 2012

Hi Pansy it is quite expensive but I try and get off cuts but I have got another bulldog to do for someone and a doberman so I will have to get specific colours for those which can be a bit pricey but they will pay me for the glass. The Koi most probably cost me about £12 in glass the slab was only £1.89 bargain. The lips were all specially bought no offcuts and that was about £22 but problem being you order the glass and then there is about £7 postage if I lived in Bristol I could just pop in lol:)

Does sound a wee bit expensive for me , but do appreciate the artistic element ! sort of project I would like to try if there was something local, keep up the great work do love it!

13 Jan, 2012

Yes Pansy is a bit expensive but then now I have a whole lot of glass to make mosaics out of that won't cost me much more money:) By the by bought a big sheet of ply for £21 and that has done the lips and the dog and I have loads left to do quite a few more mosaics on ply:)

Well worth it then, do you sell them? would make lovely original and unusual presents;0)

14 Jan, 2012

No have not sold any only just started doing them the Koi kiss was my first glass one the three before that were tiles my friend in spain wants to pay for me to do a koi one for a friend in england who has a koi carp farm so that would be my first paid one, however I work full time so really don't have heaps of time to do lots although if I won the lottery I would give up work and do them all the time:)
