Thanks everyone, you are all so kind. It's established well since we did the dreaded re-dig.
Havent captured it well but there's a nice weeping silver birch on the island - its leaning the other way, if you know what I mean.
Still not seen any of the 50 mirror carp we put in last summer, lol. They are somewhere around.

lucky to have one like that but i am sure a heck of a lot of work to keep it in that shape and condition.
i find i keep coming back to your pond piccies for inspiration, thank you for the enjoymnt it has given me.

Hello Resi. You are so kind. Yes, its hard work but I feel its worth it in the end. With it being clay lined the native reeds amd bulrushes have a free run, they are my biggest problem to control.

Dont you just hate show offs!!..haha...there was an earlier post that said size isnt everything !!!....im only jealous though, great pond/lake Dawn. Wildlife paradise too!
