Eric Morecambe

I have a copy of this same photo Pim!! I like Morecombe, we had fish and chip supper there while passing through to the lakes.

I love Morecambe and Wise,Pimp....still make me laugh,my kind of humour...but sorry,folks,not his birthplace..! We had a weekend there once,as a base for other places..and haven't been back ! to be fair,it was a long time ago,so maybe it's changed..stayed in Grange over Sands,the next time..liked that better.:o)

Had to nip out and pick up my plants from the delivery office. Some temporary potting to do.

My Dads Mum would always stay in Grange over Sands even though her sister lived in Morecambe..Said it was nicer...Thing was she, my Gran had retired and gone to live in Rhyl...Aunt E was always affronted, I don't blame her!

Did you see the wonderful film of Eric and Ernie's life, with Victoria Wood as Eric's Mum? His real surname was Bartholomew, but his Mum thought "Morcambe" would be catchier! (The actor who played Eric was brilliant :))
