Same here Gee, the box look like giant snowballs its nice to look at when it first falls but the pavements here are awful so frightened of falling, more forecast for next two days ;0(

It was treacherous getting up into the woods this morning, the lane was like an ice rink in places. The wood itself was lovely and Millie and I walked for about 90 minutes and I came back as warm as toast :)

We had about 5 inches here in Derbyshire. The pavements are now like ice and so we have been walking in the road. In the town the pavements are clear but up here we still have the white stuff! It's minus 6.5 degrees so no hope of a melt today.

Same here, Linda, my grandson came round an hour or so ago to try and clear the path outside my bungalow but it is just packed ice and difficult to shift! At least the garden path was cleared before the latest freeze :)

WHen the snow first came down I got out the snow shovel and cleared a path along the drive and the front pavement. It was quite soft and easy to shift then and Gerry also went and cleared a path down for one of the neighbours

It may not be everyone's cup of tea Gill . . but we have to admit it does look beautiful . . and it's so quiet out there. :-))

I quite like snow when it has first fallen, MW, but I don't like it when it turns to ice.

Yeah I know what you mean. It starts to thaw and turns to slush, then you have frozen slush for days on end . . yeuk!
