Haha Sticki nope started this one late saturday afternoon and worked on it sunday pm and tonight after work:) I will grout it when I get home from work tomorrow. Mind you.... you should see the state of my house lol! Thank you for your lovely comment:)

Hi Lil cant pull my hair cos my fingers are too sore lol! Found an old pair of thin leather gloves which I use when I did the sunflower but I put them in the garage and i think they have been thrown by mistake they were ideal cos they were a tight fit and I could feel what I was doing will hunt the charity shops for another pair. Cut myself the worse one the Red Hot Lips when I had finished it and picked it up to take photos of it!

So a break for you at the mo? I'm sure there will be lots of ideas going through your head for new ones....went to bed last night and couldn't get to sleep thinking of lots of things I could do next :)

Hi Lou I wouldn't kill you:) was gonna go for white but the more I look at it think I will go for dark grey like I did for the Koi one.

if you printed off the photo of your mosaic on paper and coloured in dark where the grout will go it might give you some idea???

If you marker pen or felt tip the gaps where you can see the MDF and stand back and look ?

Good ideas Sticki and BF will give the marker pen a quick try as we have run out of ink on the printer:)

Me too Sticki but it is for me so it's not like I'm ruining for a customer and I like the look of the dark grout because it does look like lead I will find out very shortly just come in from work cuppa ciggy then moment of truth! Thanks for all your encouragement it really helps:)

I've been doing mine using white grout ever since Lu gave me the brilliant tip about using watercolour paint.
Think grey will look fantastic!

Nana, one simple idea re grout colour is to make a couple of 4" squares out of scrap & apply suggested dark grout & a white grout then compare side by side. I added a colour matched grout to the fireplace tiles when I made the surround as white against dark green tiles ( in my opinion) would look 'stark'
However, white accents the designs, personal preferences at the end of the day is'nt it ?
I do stained glass so my only option is the 'lead' colour.
Looking at the white tile back-drop to your piece & given the specific colours in the flowers Im going to throw my penneth in & say chuck a dab of mid-blue ( keep it subtle) acrylic paint into the white grout & do a test square. Did I just hear an " eeek " ?? LOL
