Just the one bloom this year. Still a bright spot in a long dark and white winter. Under my sodium lamp it is so difficult to get true color, so I put it in this real light to catch that color.

Thank you. Anything is welcome this time of year. We still have another month or so before the snow melts away and nothing green until mid May. I just can't wait. :-)

Lovely photo, GT, & taken at an unusual angle as well!
We had a heavy frost here last night as well, probably about -3ÂșC! We haven't had a frost like that in approx one month. The winter is just reminding us that it hasn't quite finished with us just yet even though we may be at the door of spring!

Beautiful. These must take some growing where you are GT.

Hi Greenthumb, this is a lovely colour. Have you seen any Northern lights with the sun's extra activity at the moment? The days will be getting lighter and warmer soon.

Oh, thank you. I was away too long. :-)
We are still -20C on average, about 15degrees range night to day. Winter has been long and cold, even these temps are mild comparing them. And 3 feet snow around still. Most of the northern lights have been masked by cloud from those snowstorms, but I've seen some really strong color and movement these season, more than the last 5 years I'd say.

the colours must be amazing GT...we had a chance of seeing them a couple of weeks ago but it was sooo foggy we had no chance. wont be long now and we can watch your garden burst into life again. the transformation always amazes me..:-)

I cannot wait Sandra. The greenhouse is getting a rehaul so I might have things even earlier than usual. :-)

my tunnel was bursting at the seems but we have had a very mild winter and spring so far so i have been moving things outside. cant wait to plant the tomatoes in there. what are you planning for the greenhouse?

It needs the walls repaired and some shelving and a potting table. A good sort out really. Just waiting for the snow to recede.

when the weather breaks i bet you will have things sorted..nothing like the spring time to give energy...:-)
