Thanks for the ID Paul. I lost my Cardoon winter 2010 :(. Its lovely, this cool wet weather should help it settle after the move.

you're welcome Dawn - how did you lose it ? They're pretty hardy things , although it was exceptionally cold that year - I seem to have been lucky as it has regained strength since the move - also the ceanothus - seem to be very lucky with moving plants

Hi Paul. Think it was the prolonged minus temperatures that killed it and it was its first year. I have Scotch Thistles now. More of an annual but collect their seed and sow in Spring, I'll be planting out soon. They are monsters :). Sounds like you're an expert mover Paul :).
