The distillery my father worked in had a large gaggle of geese...as 'security staff'! lol!!

There was a local man a few years back who came across a goose family while he was jogging in a park. Mama & daddy goose weren't happy and chased him. He turned and ran, tripped on a branch, broke his leg in 4 places and was stuck there for five hours before someone wandered by and found him.

Ooh - that brings back nasty memories. When I was a child in Surrey, there was a gaggle of these horrors between our house and the village shop. I used to hate walking past them if I was on an errand. There were about ten of them, and the noise was terrifying!

I very nearly came home with two goslings when I went to get Jack and Vera...

I pointed to them and asked for, 'two of these ducklings'...
...just as well I said ducks...because if I had pointed and just asked for, 'two of these, please'...the lovely fluffy little 'ducklings' would soon have been keeping us all in order!!!

They were a lot nicer looking than Jack and Vera, though... ;)
