And the wall's not bad looking either! But, I'm scared of pyracanthas........

13 Jun, 2012

Thank you..I love the dry stone wall too..why are you scared of them? ...they are harmless...apart from the thorns ! Lol.

13 Jun, 2012

Lol! Have you seen mine??
It's swallowing up one of the out-houses!! I'm too scared to go near it...;)))

Karen. maybe prune it hard this year and it will re-grow quite happily, have planted two especially for the birds.
B. you are going to have plenty of berries there.

13 Jun, 2012

looks very nice Bloomer :-)

13 Jun, 2012

I haven't seen it,Karen..but I'm sure you are brave enough to tackle it..a push over ,after your experiences in,trying to tame a wild'dog'! :o)
........
Thanks G.mage, and S.lad..lots of flowers for berries..they could do with a trim too,but don't want to spoil the later display..and they have put lots of growth on this year, even though they were trimmed back earlier on..

13 Jun, 2012

Very scary, Bloomer...!

I will have to get in about it this year, Gm...how hard can I be???
...but I think I'll let the berries set first...not that I'm putting it off or anything!! ;)

13 Jun, 2012

That would be better,I think ,Karen..although any non flowering stems could be pruned back almost anytime..I do that with mine, and it .seems ok..they are so tough anyway,as you will have noticed! Lol.

13 Jun, 2012

I've been putting it off for two years now, Bloomer...

But, this year it's for the chop...later...lol!

Have to organise a trailer to take it all away.....

13 Jun, 2012

ah,that will be Pyracantha phobia,then,Karen..start with a tiny bit, then work your way to a bigger bit ! I'm sure Alan Tichmarsh would put it much more eloquently than me :o)

13 Jun, 2012

Lol! Where are my loppers, now... ;)

13 Jun, 2012
