nods, same with all my conifers, lol at first I wondered if they were flowering! but I think it's the new growth, as it's been going on for a while and not seen any flowers yet.

Yes, plenty of new shoots. Evidently this plant likes rain, Fran.

let's hope so! When I potted it, I put a length of plastic tube in, so I could water to the reservoir underneath without soaking the roots; they can take up as much as they want, when they want. But of course the recent rains have sort of made that unnecessary

I almost got one of these a few years ago, it is a beautiful conifer. All Chamaecyparis like moisture but C. pisifera will tolerate it quite dry too. This one looks good, sort of looks like a small weeping tree.

I inherited this one from the disabled charity office I used to be a volunteer with - they wer moving to new offices so I tried to save as many plants as I could, potting them and leaving them for anywone who could take htem. I won this, and the juniper, and the "conifer clump". I've no idea if a home was found for the Bamboo or the two huge New Zealand Flax - hope homes were found for them, they'd probably have been binned when the cetnre got demolished otherwise.
