Is it Chicory , they use to make coffee from chicory didn't they , is this the same plant ?

It is Amy... I think it is the only plant that has this 'blue'

the other chicory...gets called endive .

Interesting I wonder which part they used for coffee , the roots ? I believe they use to make coffee from acorns as well or did I dream that one ?

It would be welcome in my Garden too....

That's right Amy..This is one with a tap root. I have heard of acorn coffee too. I need the proper stuff though especially first thing !

Chicory!!! I've always wanted to try Chicory coffee. I read up on it last night. I might be lifting tap roots in September and roasting my own coffee?!?!?!?!?

Let us know if you do and what it's like Alex , I use to like Camp coffee I seem to remember that had Chicory in it , I liked it for making coffee cakes ...

Coffee for me....it has to be coffee. Tea is for I'm not feeling well.
