Thank you all so much. Homebird, I get a lot of pleasure from this little 'garden' in the winter time. It keeps me going during the worst of it!

Thanks Annie...this is definitely it's best time. The Heuchs are all growing well, as the ferns. It takes them ages to get going in summer but by the autumn it all looks lush, and that carries this area through the winter.

I'm still looking for a water feature like yours, Karen, the plants I can work on! (eventually). Lovely pic

Thanks Fran....good time to get one as they usually have sales around now.

once I work out how to safely power the brutes, I'll get half a dozen! Already got a 4-bowl feature that's absolutely no use to me, I'd prefer it to run more than an hour a day, but that's all the sun I get, and only if I'mlukcy.
ah well, There's still the Heucheras...

Thanks Gralew. I think it was Cinderella that got me hooked! ;)

I started with Plum Pudding, via Lidl - I was amazed at how many varieties there are.
There's a National Heuchera Collection at Plantagogo, Graylew. They have stacks of varieties for sale, and at very reasonable prices.

Placed an order last night!...but not for Heuchs this time!

lol there's plenty when you do, I've got a wish list about a yard long at the moment!

I couldn't resist the Saxifrages, and then I found a couple of other 'essentials' while I was at it! What am I like? lol! .....Don't answer! :)
