How weird - the reds have been the last in my garden Brian :)
I love how this spills out over the edge of the path

there is a log lying along the edge of the path out of site under the Acer and couple of years ago I drove several nails into it and tied the Acer to it ,this has worked well as it is now growing where I want .

I'd love a low growing Acer Brian....what's the name of this one?

Scottish afraid I dont have a name for it I bought it at a plant fair some years ago it was quite small and spindly so lent its self to being pulled over,it has attempted to make a couple of vertical stems these I cut off.
The Dissectum one in the other pictures stay low but more symmetrical.

Scottish look at Nurseryman Chris Pattison's site he know his Acers,not suggesting you buy from him but a few names jotted down might be a help when you look for one, he gives the ultimate heights when grown normally
