You really can't beat the Lakes for heartaching beauty, at any time of year. I must, must, must go soon! :))))) Scotland is of course absolutely stunning, but there is something about the Lakes....it is 'friendlier' somehow.

I agree, there is something very special about the Lakes. There is beauty around every corner and I love those stone walls and Herdwick sheep.

Nice as it was, it is lovely to be home and it hasn't rained much either!!
We have had perfect weather in the Lakes but it is wise to expect at least some rain!!
