some kittens play with balls of wool
while others sharpen claws.
not our little learned pooch,
too busy digesting music scores.

Pooch-ini per chance ?!?!?

Excellent picture!

he likes black and white pictures melchi, i think most of his pictures are in monochrome

26 Jan, 2013

It's very good - it has an atmosphere. I think monochrome focuses attention on the subject. Sometimes colour can over-emphasise the background. But I'm definitely a viewer of photographs rather than a photographer. I love taking them, but I am a real beginner. One of my sons and my son-in-law are very keen and have "real" cameras.

26 Jan, 2013

i will tell him melchi ~ thank you, i think he is quite arty!

i really like colour but i do like this photo.

ah, i know what you mean about 'real' cameras ~ youngest has just bought this one and is enjoying it, the oldest also does quite a lot of photography with 'real' cameras but i cant understand it all ~ i just take opportunities and hope for the best!!!

You always get very good results! I find the best strategy is to take lots and then choose the best. If I had one of those cameras you used to see all the time in "The Sweeney" I'd be making hundreds of clicking and whirring noises...

26 Jan, 2013

you could probably write a whole symphony of clicking and whirring ~ and display some photos at the same time ~ i do love pictures and music together!!!

oh no i have plenty of very duff pictures! i have got rid of some but have lots more to take off!!

i do the same as you ~ take lots and hope!

26 Jan, 2013

That's the way to do it! ;-)

27 Jan, 2013

:-)

A great capture so effective in black and white...

29 Jan, 2013

thanks DD ~ if only my son wasnt so busy im sure he would appreciate all the lovely comments people have made, i know he likes black and white photography best
~ he recently got this new camera ~ im glad he enjoys using it.

I must agree with him on that, I like sepia also.....

30 Jan, 2013
