I have never seen this little beauty before Amy, so I looked it up on internet. It has lots of names doesn't it -
Epimedium, also known as rowdy lamb herb, Randy Beef Grass, barrenwort, bishop's hat, fairy wings, horny goat weed, or yin yang huo (Chinese: 淫羊藿).
I like "rowdy lamb herb", - conjures up a noisy mob of young lambs partying in the herb garden!!!

Karen the flower is small on it's own but has several on the plant so tends to show up more , Shirl I've heard of Bishop's Hat , but with all those randy , rowdy ,horny ones it makes me wonder what on earths going on under my shrubs , no wonder they are spreading around the area ;o))

Thanks Kathy I'll google and get back to you :o)
Yes kathy I've Googled and I'm sure you are right that is the one , I've checked and the plants can be divided in the spring and autumn as they are still very much in flower I will probably have to wait until autumn to dig a root for you if you are happy to wait that long ,let me know ! x

I've just been in the wood and would you believe it I have one that looks just like this Amy ,don't know what I've got lol, the label on mine says 'Warleyense' but its described as orange/red with yellow centre after googling not sure my labels right ????, it looks much more like yours, many thanks for the offer though :-)

Well would you believe as you can see I just gave mine a name LOL .. I think this one does look like the Rubra on the Google images ,it gets quite complicated at times doesn't it , I can't begin to image how hard it is for you to keep track of all your Day Lilies ... the pink in this photo is true to life and exactly the colour it is if thats any help !
8 May, 2013
Aaaah now the daylilies are easy I have a plan drawn of where they all are ;-)
Sure mines the same as yours Amy, think someone must have been swapping labels at the GC :-)
