Similar to Graham Thomas, we moved this rose last year, and it is not so yellow, and it has lost some of it's perfume!! there again it could be me and my hay fever lol

Lovely to see, Roses make a British summer don't they ? Mine have only just started .......

I do love to see roses that look like "proper roses", not doubled or ruffled or whatever.
*s* "reliable but lovely"? makes the reliability sound like a drawback!!
does it have scent?

Very nice DD.

Thanks Cinders, Amy most of ours are on the way, the sun has bought them forward..... Fran we bought this rose because of the perfume it was delicious, but I am wondering why it is not so strong, it was in shade, and now it is in full sun?

I would have known about the scent if I'd read the caption properly - durr.
interesting problem: does sunshine detract from perfume strength? just tried a quick Google, but only got "buy roses heere" or "buy perfume here".
How long since it was moved? maybe the rose is st ill getting established in its new home, so the scent level is decreased while it puts its energy into getting re-established?
just tried different keywords, and got an article about how temperature affects perfume - maybe the rose is warmer now than it was before

Fran it was in the shade before, and now in full sun, we moved it in October last year........so temperature must have an effect on them......

Is there any chance of moving it back without damaging it?
I'm sure that some roses are labelled "full sun" - of course, they might the scentless varieties. Now that I know this, when I get my own rose garden (ha) I'llmake sure it's got some shade, though I'll probably go to the other extreme.

Just a bit different shape to my GT Dd, but another gorgeous one....my first one out Pink Perpetue.....one from Wilkos last year and it's a beauty with such a strong perfume....:))

Beautiful rose! It must have an incredible scent.

ah, it needed a time to adjust, the first flower was the explorer to pave the way for the others.

Lovely rose..not too bright yellow and not too pale- just the right shade! I am soooo jealous as I don't have any roses flowering yet!
