Tamarisk tetrandra

Janey

By Janey

Tamarisk tetrandra (Tamarisk tetrandra)

This year the Tamarisk is having a quiet time, not heavily laden with flowers as other summers. A sun lover, it's missing the warmth and light we usually have in June. I've a feeling that the strongest branches are hanging into next doors which faces south....:o((

OH has just taken our stick out and put it in a pot, this is supposed to be a coastal plant, your always looks wonderful, our neighbour gets the best of our plants also!! so I know how you feel!!

Its still pretty, i have one which is not much more than a twig despite being a few years old. Moved it last year out of desperation and it is showing some signs of life but nothing like this...it is still not much more than a twig!

If it makes it through the summer , I might give it a good cut back to spur some new growth.

Yes I shall give this one a good haircut too girls, when its finished, especially those heavy branches next door...they'll not mind, they don't like gardening too much.
I wonder why yours aren't growing too well, we have quite a few in the village here all flowering away like mad, maybe its this east side they like???

Thanks Sheila!

A bit late but I've just found it - beautiful! I have one of these, but at the moment it's still very small in a 3 litre pot.

I wouldn't be without mine Helenium, they make such a pretty airy small tree and when flowered it's floaty needle like leaves look great all summer....:))
