I wish you could smell it because everything on the stall was richly scented with oranges and spices.

Never ever been to Bath, Chris and we would love to go. Is that a long drive from Devon then ?

Hello Rose, we went by train and it took just under two hours with a change at Bristol.

Beautiful! It looks like as Swiss chalet.

We have nothing like that here. All the wreaths on sale are very old fashioned and dull.

That's gorgeous!
It's a pity you can't get to Leeds Market, Karen. Lots of wreaths both modern and traditional for sale.

Isn't that pretty? I'm off to the Christmas market in Liverpool (not the best, I must admit) on Thursday with my son (which will make the outing an excellent one!) and then to the Manchester one (much better!) next week with my sister. Nothing if not Christmassy!

My only hope is the Danish Faye? I might go there tomorrow afternoon. :)

Yes, exactly. but I do love all these dried citrus wreaths. I should have thought ahead and made my own dried fruits! Hmm...I wonder if you can do it in the oven......

Pretty Wildrose, I went to one last weekend at Erddig Hall lots of lovely chalets like the above with twinkly lights and lovely Christmassy scents and scrummy food, there is one more there next weekend :o)

Bath is beautiful. I've been a few times, but not for a long time. Last time, we went on a river tour and I saw my first ever Kingfisher. I love Wiltshire, I would happily go there for my holidays!

I think you've probably had enough to do in the last couple of months, Karen! You can dry slices of citrus in the oven on the lowest setting, on a rack (a wire cooling rack works well). I have even done them over a radiator. They acquire that lovely transparent, shiny look and look pretty tied with cinnamon sticks and bay leaves, dried or fresh.

Thanks Melchi! You're right though, I probably won't get around to it this year!

No. Put your feet up when you can!

have got them up right now. After a day of wall sanding, laundry, rose planting and cooking. Zzzzzzz!

Well done!

Very seasonal. The Christmas Market here in Edinburgh is getting very bad press. They changed organisers and from what I have read in the press it has been a complete disaster!
