Love it ! I've only ever done scenery pictures and have never tried to do one single flower. You have a talent there.

It's lovely Louisa, I've never tried watercolour painting, but I have done Anemone's in cross stitch. They are wonderful, even as cut flowers :o)

Lovely Louisa!
Is cross stitch easy Petal? might try some while I waiting for Spring!!!

Gralew, I'm doing some cross stitch at the moment, a big one of some clifftop poppies. I don't expect to finish it till about Easter, I'm nearly halfway at the moment. I'll show it when it's done. Cross stitch can be easy or difficult, depending on the kit you buy. The one I'm doing has some quite small three-quarter stitches which strain the eyes a bit, and there's quite a lot of back stitch and french knots to be done over the top of the cross stitch when that's finished. There are loads of inexpensive cross stitch kits on ebay....many of them are perfect for gardeners....:)

Louisa that is really lovely, I like anemones and think yours is so life-like with such pretty colours all blended so beautifully.

More please!

Gralew you can pickup very reasonably priced small cross stitch kits. They provide everything you need pattern/needle/thread and the material to embroider. If you start with a very small one you won't need a hoop to stretch the material.
I've found them to buy in garden centres, as well as giftshops and places like Dunelm. Have a look the next time you are in the GC.
P.S You do need good light, as the holes in the material can be small. But don't be put off... It's very rewarding! :o)
