Alan, do you find those big trees provide shelter from the Northerly weather? Gazebo is lovely. :)

Hi Karen, thank you, glad you like the garden. We don't seem to get much protection from the northerly winds, unfortunately, as the line of trees runs in a straight line, north to south. It can be quite scary when there are strong winds. They are 85 ft high Corsican pines, with tree 'preservation orders' on them. We used to have three in our back garden, but lost two of them into the farmers field behind us, in gales, on two separate occasions. Two down, one to go!

Hi Karen and Sheila, glad you like the gazebo. My wife and I treated ourselves last year, for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. It's designed by Kew Gardens and manufactured in China. We refer to it as the Gazebo. ..... It is actually called a 'Pavilion', but we didn't get any cricket bats with it :~))
If you want to see what happened to our old gazebo, I will post a picture later today. You will laugh !

Looking forward to it already, Alan!

Alan we are celebrating our silver anniversary this year...going to London, Chelsea flower show, afternoon tea at the orangery (Kensington gardens) and supper at Gordon Ramsay's grill in Mayfair with some old friends that were at our wedding. Not all on the same day of course! Looking forward to it very much! :)
