Never seen one of these before - spotted in the woods while walking with Millie.

OOoooo Gee, looks like a posh lady's hat for a funeral. Glad to hear you are recovered and not put off walking Milly through the autumn woods. So lovely at this time of the year.

Thanks, Dorjac. My leg is much better now but still swells up when I walk too far - very frustrating and I must admit I have been quite bad tempered with it! I am still trying to play catch up with tidying the garden and, with all the rain, feel like I am fighting a losing battle. Never mind, had a lovely long weekend with my eldest daughter in Suffolk and I was presented with a walking stick so I could get about a bit easier :)

I thought this toadstool was a bit of an oddity and my book (quite old!) says it's rare.

My goodness Gee, that's amazing.

Take care with the walking, don't over do things :)

Thanks, Waddy. I am going careful but I'm not very patient I'm afraid and not being able to do things really bugs me!

I know what you mean, Gee. It's my back that stops me from time to time, doing what I want, and it drives me mad, but then I think about those poor souls who are never able to do what they want because of one disability or another and I know I'm comparatively lucky. Hang on in there, things will get better given time :)

Thank you all. I am trying to take it slowly but the garden keeps beckoning me and I go out meaning to only 'potter' but find myself digging, etc. I could do with a Monty Don :)
