The Little Rascal

Molehill No. 6. I could see it pushing soil upwards, as I took the photo.

I hope you're making good use of that wonderful tilled soil Alan! Every cloud as they say!

Quite determined , that little fella !

Thanks Karen I am keeping the soil in trugs for use in spring. As you correctly say Driad, he/she is very determined.

Now on 'plan B'. In brief, this involves water, from water butts, followed by moth balls. This worked for my next door neighbour, last year. Next is 'plan C', which involves scissor traps. I have left this to the end, as a very last resort.

PS I didn't mean I got rid of my neighbour last year with water and mothballs, he too had a mole visiting....lol

Perseverance is what's needed Alan. Good luck with it. I did the council a favour the other on Monday. I went round to the playback and cleared away all the molehills. I now have some pretty level flower beds!

Great soil for your flower beds Angie..... Lucky you. <];>))
I popped out earlier this evening, molehill no. 7 progressing well. Traps it has to be.

Plenty more tilled soil this morning Karen, from holes 7 and 8. Shouldn't have any trouble sleeping tonight ... I'll just count molehills ... lol. ?

Oh , Alan . Quelle horeur !

Driad, I've become tri-lingual today. Learnt some Philipino off Junna this morning, now French off you ... lol.

Unfortunately I have installed 4 traps today ... I didn't really want to use this option, if at all possible. Reading up on the subject, there could, after 10 days, be more than 100 metres of tunnels under our lawn already.

Bad news , Alan . Horses for courses unfortunately .

I'm glad I'm not a mole.....

Yikes...I thought we had bad luck with skunk holes everywhere this summer. They would come out at night and dig for grubs, Apparently we had loads. There are far too many to fix and now we have a giant bulldozer digging to put in a gas line! Hopeless, sometimes??? But just another opportunity to show our ingenuity?

They have moles digging up the grass at out local park. The heaps are flattened but the moles still keep on digging.

Fingers crossed we have had no more activity and the lawn (although uneven) has been quite nice this year.
