How on earth have you persuaded them to spread like that? Mine are still growing in isolation! Is it something to do with the soil do you think.

I'm told by a keen gardening neighbor its all to do with the Ants Gill ,they apparently carry and deposit the seeds ,we have Cyclamens growing in all sorts of odd places and yes we do have a problem with Ants we have dozens of Ant nests on the lawns on sunny days you can see them shimmering in the sunlight ,sometimes they are so bad their nests raise the plants above ground level killing them they even come out of the woodwork in the hall in the house I've been trying to break the cycle for the last 20 years but they always follow the same path ,they are clever little creatures ....

That looks lovely. They always disappear after a couple of years in my garden :o)

Looks like the Ants have their uses, after all,Amy..in your garden at least..such a lovely display....

What a shame Annella ,can you buy Ants ?? Lol ... they have their uses Sandra but can be a nuisance especially in the house :o(

My ants seem to set up house in pot plants, Amy. I have some cyclamen in pots so perhaps they will do their work there. I live in hope :)

We have them in pots as well Gill you lift a pot and there's a whole colony underneath ! when your Cyclamen have finished flowering do you find at a later date probably autumn they have sort of kinky strings hanging from them with what look like brown marbles attached ? if you do they are the seed pods you could save them and spread them in gravel I find they grow best in gravel Gill ...

Beautiful - mine don't seem to be so good this year as in the past.
They do seed themselves quite easily.

I didn't know that, Amy! I think I have pulled those off in previous years and put them in with the compost :( I will look more carefully now.

Wow!!!
Oh heck we have loads of ants too they seem to be everywhere you dig but not in the house yet!! The biggest ant hill appeared last year at the bottom of the garden we probably should do something about it now while they're less active although what I don't know, last year I steered well clear their bites pretty nasty isn't it.
