Well if that is your first go it is extremely good. Hope you stick with it. A class makes you try harder and you learn more from each other. (I taught art to adults in an FE college at one point). It is a hobby that makes people happy. :0) They say artists make good gardeners too.

Water colours are so delicate and you have used them so effectively.
The sky colours are really lovely.

Very well done for a first attempt, Janey! You should see my Cybermen & Dalek drawings I do for my grandson - make you want to hide away! He's happy with them though & I suppose that that's what counts! (They say practise makes perfect - they never met me!)

It is good to focus your mind Linda, it's like a mental holiday....:o)) I've painted in oils and acrylics before but not water colours, I didn't realize there were so many techniques and different ways of putting the colour on the paper, and taking it off...lol! One of the ladies uses cling film to scrunch over the wet background and it looks fabulous.

Ha ha Amy, I still have the toll work...it's coming back into fashion now too, along with stencilling etc, it'll be called vintage now though....:o))

Yes but when he's older Balc, he'll look back on these days of Grandad's daleks and cybermen with fondness won't he, it's all about making memories with them...:o))

makes you do your homework...lol! We all love your paintings, I think it was Wells who suggested a painting site, that would be good for winter wouldn't it!
