Iris "Katherine Hodgekin" (Iris reticulata (Iris))

Not a rare variety, but nice blue winter iris.....again, flowering one month earlier than usual.

I bought bulbs of this Iris, this Autumn. I thought it was Spring flowering, obviously not!
Ps mine are in the garden border.

The colour in this season is bluer than usual - perhaps due to the warmest December????

I think you're right.....we haven't had much sunshine in London area for ages - warm but cloudy days only.....

That reason occurred to me because some clematis flowers are paler when in more sunshine/daylight.
