Thats really different! I like the dark leaved ones. Our GC has primulas too, but not much else yet really. There's lots of winter to get through. Almost 8 weeks to be exact! So plenty of time yet for spring bulbs to be bought I suppose...but its so lovely to cheer yourself up with a few spring flowers. I went out on a quest fro some this week...to GC....no joy...then on to M&S...nothing but floppy hyacinths there...so I treat myself to some cut flowers and went sadly on my way...with two iced tea cakes! :)

Plants OR chocolate? no, it has to be plants AND chocolate..........oh yes, cut flowers give me a lot of pleasure too and as for those iced spice buns from 'M and S,' delicious!
Like minded people on this site! :-)

It is very, very pretty.

I don't think the iced tea cakes were on that new year list of yours Karen.

Now you're all just making me feel hungry which is totally unfair as I'm still trying to lose a few pounds from Christmas feasts .. Love the plant Chris :o)

Has to be both I am afraid.....just finished our last box of chocolates,so turned to homemade cake now!

I've just indulged in some Sage Derby for lunch. It's savoury stuff that does for me, I'm afraid. Perhaps I should go looking for primulas instead!

I have just had a little smile to myself......anyone glancing at this photo will see that there have been 14 comments so far and must wonder 'What on earth is there to say about a white primula?!'
Little do they realise that nearly every comment was actually related to food!!!

Wildrose it is that time of the year.......the cold makes me hungry, have made so much soup, homemade bread and cake this winter.......I shall be the size of a house..

We are having a soup winter too. I have done nothing but make soups, in fact everything I make turns into soup...I cannot seem to leave out the sauce and just eat meat and broccoli! I have to say that Primulas take a lot of watering... is that correct. Mine always look so nice and then whoops, need to water. It is a beauty, now back to stir the soup. Tonight, escarole and white bean.

Primulas do like quite a lot of water and are not happy if they dry out.
On the other hand, I would be more than happy to dry out after a very long, wet winter!

Well, how could you refuse?

I love the idea of dark chocolate colour! It follows on well from many of the above comments! Our treat cupboard is pretty empty at the moment ...?
I like the sound of Wells's soup, as well. Most of our leftovers go into soup - can't beat it in the winter!
