Thank you Shirley. She was circling the birdbath with her nose close to the rim several times around until she found a lowest spot and managed to have a drink. She is so clever.

Bambi comes to mind. How lovely Klahanie. I always place two dishes on the path of water and every night creatures drink from them and I have to replace the water in the morning.

We have lots of lower dishes and birdbahts around too, Linda. They are all very popular as it is very dry and water hard to find. Sometimes I see deer licking the drip houses we have for watering the trees.

We have a regular Badger visitor, fox and Hedgehogs, and in the daytime lots of different bird visit the garden. We only have a small garden but it's like a sanctuary for the wildlife.

I am the same way Linda. I'd like to see healthy environment for all the critters and plants. I do not know why but we do not have hedgehogs or foxes on Vancouver island.

makes your heart swell! They are so beautiful and innocent... makes a person want to plant them a garden all their own! LOL... Yesterday my hub saw a very mature doe sampling the apples and checking out my iris beds! I haven't laid eyes on her but I have seen her tracks..she has two fawns with her. One of these mornings I'm going to get up early and sit (wrapped in blankets) on the deck with my camera. In two months time it will be hunting season...I wish I could make a refuge for them. Our property is posted but there are Hunting Camps all around us.

Bless you, Lori.

I know they cause damage in gardens but oh what a lovely sight to see. Where I used to live Muntjacs had a regular track across my garden, I loved to see them. One morning at first light I saw a huge stag with his antlers held high standing stock still - I was mesmerised by its majestic beauty.
I hate seeing the hunters pics on FB showing their latest trophy.
