Brave you, will leave mine for another couple of months at least.

26 Feb, 2017

Hi Brian.. thanks .. it wasn't windy when I began, but soon became very blustery. I just kept going regardless ... more of a fun task in the warmer weather !

26 Feb, 2017

Well done you, hope you have now got your feet up with a nice cuppa!

26 Feb, 2017

Hi Chris... yes ... relaxing now !

26 Feb, 2017

That looks great TT, but hard work. Have you tried 'wet and forget'? I used it last year and found it brilliant. My flags are still clean after 12 months.

26 Feb, 2017

Hi Waddy .. not heard of Wet and Forget ... would it be useful for the stubborn marks which the jetwasher cannot shift ?

26 Feb, 2017

Certainly would TT.

27 Feb, 2017

You have to be patient though, the results don't appear immediately.

27 Feb, 2017

Thanks, Waddy.

I am so impressed, ours are a disgrace.....I am looking to buy a washer but there are so many and the prices can be extortionate!
Waddy I am going to look at wet and forget, is it safe for plants? because our plants spill on to our paving!

27 Feb, 2017

Dotty ... I found FAQ online re Wet and Forget .. just search the name.

27 Feb, 2017

I leave jobs like that to Him Indoors but after having a jet washing bloke to do the patio the slabs now need re-pointing. Even if I could get down (and stay there long enough!) it's not the sort of job I have ever done. Don't intend to start now.

No doubt, it will get done eventually. Meanwhile, I try not to notice.

Gravel between my pavings ... so I just sweep the gravel back into the gaps between the slaps.

27 Feb, 2017

Why didn't we think of that, Terra? Easy enough to do, isn't it?
Thanks for telling me.

27 Feb, 2017

Hi Arbuthnot ... the gravel in the gaps allows good drainage, and at the edges of a patio area, you could perhaps grow a few little rockery plants in the gravel.

27 Feb, 2017

Thanks again. I shall mention it to Him Indoors.

27 Feb, 2017

Wet and Forget doesn't disturb the sand or whatever you have between the flags.

27 Feb, 2017

Thanks Waddy ... we won't 'forget' that.

27 Feb, 2017

Wet and forget safe for animals? Wouldn't want the handsome Truffle getting his paws damaged by an acidic solution, if that's what it contains.

28 Feb, 2017

That's a good point, Siris ... Some time I might use it down the far end of the garden ... but not nearer my house or in the dog run.

28 Feb, 2017

Once it's dry TT is fine for both pets and children.

28 Feb, 2017

When wet it is not safe for animals, and obviously children....have been ploughing through the Q & A page.......as far as I can tell it is brilliant for stand alone steps, paving, walls, boats, decking, not a mention of plants.......so weighed up the pros and cons the liquid is quite expensive, so for another £20.00 have purchased a pressure washer, be it on my head..... comment from OH !!if it disturbs the cement, then so be it, will do what TT has done and get some gravel and use that!!
As the saying goes "Watch this space" have purchased from a well known company, using my prime account, so it should arrive today, ordered it yesterday afternoon!!

28 Feb, 2017

Dd, when I pressure washed our block paving driveway, what a mess it (I) made, sand everywhere and me totally soaked!!

28 Feb, 2017

As with many garden tools, practice improves your ability of using it ... I found I became more adept with the pressure washer after using it a couple of times. I bought mine only a year go, but am very pleased with it.

28 Feb, 2017

Congratulations, it is ready for spring now :)

28 Feb, 2017

Thanks Aleyna for your lovely optimistic comment ...
yes, it was hard work, but now all ready for springtime !

1 Mar, 2017

Last time I pressure washed the greenhouse I could have done with wearing a wet suit & my hands were frozen ( I obviously need more practise but will wait for warmer days)

2 Mar, 2017

Hi Greenfinger ..
When I did some jet-washing last summer on a hot day, I was wearing shorts and wellies. My legs are reasonably slim, but that meant the sprayed water all ran down the insides of the wellies !

2 Mar, 2017

Two options,Terra, and other well soaked members using a pressure washer...a wet suit in winter ,and a Bikini in summer ! or maybe the wet suit all year round, knowing our weather :o) just a thought..yes.a silly one,I know ! x

3 Mar, 2017

Thanks, Homebird ...
I worked as fast as I could because the wind was cold and biting.
Hi Bloomer ...
yes... maybe a swimsuit and fisherman's waders x

Thank you 3d ... I find the dog run area very useful.

11 Apr, 2017

I can see Truffles finds it useful too ?

11 Apr, 2017

Yes, 3d .. you are right .. the dog run is Truffle's favourite sunbathing area ?
