How on earth do you manage to keep it so neat?!

the flower colours have emerged well this year.
The bird bath was a gift from a friend which he 'rescued' from a garden where the owner didn't have a place for it any more ... I'm lucky to have it... and the birds are pleased too !

I try to keep the lawn areas neat and pretty ...
I'm lucky to have my canine helpers doing most of the garden work ! ?

The bird bath is in a good secluded place just right for the bird its lovely nice gift for you to enjoy.

Thanks 3d ... I have another bird bath, over to the right, so not visible in this photo, but this one you see is very secluded and nice for the shy birds.

I think keeping the grass cut regularly keeps it in good condition. Do you treat it with anything terra?

In the past, I have occasionally used feed and weed granules, but mostly I keep the grass cut short, and I dig out by hand any little dandelions etc.

You've made it just perfect, Terra, it's not easy to get the balance of shrubs & border plants right but you have & it looks a picture. I love how you've made a grotto for the bird bath.

Thanks Green finger for your super comments. My garden is visited mostly by sparrows, blackbirds and robins. They all enjoy the bird baths.

I bet they do, Terra. We have pretty much the same birds & blue tits & greenfinches are regulars too. A pair of robins have nested in the shed & my are they busy flying in & out every few minutes all day long so we won't go in there until they've all gone.

Last year my garden had some long-tailed tits visiting, but I'm not sure if they are still around. That's lovely, Green finger, to have the pair of robins nesting in your shed. Two robins have produced babies near the end of my garden, because the other day I photographed a fledgling robin near my bird bath.

I'm thinking mine should be fledged very soon but my phone camera isn't good enough to zoom in & get a clear shot, in any case I wobble a bit at the crucial moment.

Lovely area Terra....How are the gardening canine helpers? We have a pair of Blue Tits that have nested in the box underneath the eaves. Lots of birds are visiting the garden at the moment, taking food back for their young. There are lots of hiding places for the birds in your garden with all the greenery around.

Hi Siris... thank you.. I built the raised bed myself some years ago, heaving huge, recycled decorative brick sections into place ... took me many weeks, but it has proved to be worth all the effort.
