Good job they are under the cover of the glass house they would be well flattened with wet horrible snow this morning
Sheilabub they usually need some sun to create a perfume and that is in short supply at the moment.but we live in hope
thrupennybit they are larger than the normal garden one about 6in high but still growing.

Lovely Snowdrops, Brian! ?
We had 15 hours of non-stop rain from 5pm last night then a few more hours of snow from 7am this morning! It didn't stop snowing till just after midday! Around 2.30 the sun popped out for a few minutes! Now the sky is completely clear & the Moon & stars look great - so transparent is the sky! But it's damm cold!!!

Sheila, the same happened here the day before yesterday as well!
Yesterday was a truly beautiful winter day with clear skies & lots of sunshine from dawn to dusk! Though during the night we had a lot of rain it seems.
Today started very miserable with rain till nearly noon but the wind started to get up & by 2.30 the sky was almost clear of clouds!

It is the day after that beautiful magical snowy scene and it is very mucky underfoot. Thank you Bjs for sharing these beauties. I ventured down to the greenhouse to see how G. 'Tilebarn Jamie' and G. 'Cambridge' were getting on. Plenty of leaves but no flowers yet. Maybe next year. G. 'Ding-Dong' has a lot of flowers. Have you had that one a long time. Growing in the greenhouse is going to be a priority next year - New Year resolutions already LOL. Narcissus 'Nylon is flowering in there now. I will post a photo if I can.

Doesn't time fly when you are busy. I'm not wishing my life away but it seems the years are getting shorter. I have ordered seeds of G. reginae-olgae and vernalis from the seed ex so fingers crossed I get them. It will probably be years till they reach flowering size bulbs.

Sheila
You should have G.Reginae-Olgae I gave you that a few years ago.also the two you refereed to yesterday Jamie and Cambridge are both selected forms of Reginae Olgae.

I am trying to undo the murder and mayhem I caused to your gift by trying to grow it outside. It survived for a couple of years and I have not seen it since. I don't think the squirrels take snowdrop bulbs but it is hard to say what happened to them, except that they are not guaranteed to be hardy. I have learned a lot since those first mistakes. I got Jamie and Cambridge from Judy's Snowdrops in 2017. Her descriptions of the plants are very specific so I knew that they were G. r-o. When you first advised me of her website she had stopped selling temporarily. She is a lovely person and very helpful, just like you her enthusiasm for inspiring people about her plants is tempered with down to earth good advice.

Do you pick a tiny bunch for the house, Brian? Lovely, delicate scent (if I remember well) :)
