Yes, Amy...they do look like shot silk don't they and the colour ranges from tangerine to pinks to lemon.I can feel a waltz coming on..ha ha!

Really lovely rose Janey, and so many flowers together too. Yes an old fashioned dress comes to mind with the colour and form of the roses.

This is why we put up with prima donna roses! Among the primp-prone beauties are the naturals...just being themselves. Gorgeous...and scented too. What happy choice led you to this one, Janey? Of all the roses I once had I have only one hybrid left...the rugosas are the only ones to survive the long cold winter. I'm pea green! 🙌

Well Lori, I would like to relate a romantic tale about Lord Nelson, but down to earth with a bump! Bought as 2 bare rooted 'Compassion' roses for £1 each from my local market, they've proven to be real beauties with their clusters of gold/apricot blooms and russet leaves. I knew they weren't Compassion but David Austins Lady Emma Hamilton, the scent is amazing!
The rugosa roses are beautiful Lori, really heavily scented, then those gorgeous orange hips in the autumn...not pea green...just green...ha ha!
