I've heard of that type. You dont see the Ti plants of color in the bay area. I have some type called Red Sister that does fine in a large pot. If I had the right spot in ground I would put it there . For now its best where it is in the driveway.

I had a Harlequin variety ti leaf plant in Fremont. It has yellow, green pink and red in the leaves. It grew very well for years. The biggest problem were the snails.

Ti plants are the easiest plant to start and grow, as long as it gets well-watered.

Somebody posted this the other day on the palm board ( "large leafed plants") and it was named Aunty Lui.Same plant,one with an Asian version name.
