I have 3 of these large plants (Euforbia trigona). Just trimmed 2 and this is the last one which is up to the ceiling with no more room to go. My problem is that I pot tops and now have dozen of 3-4' plants and another dozen just sitting in a bowl full of water....a real cactus forest. It is easily propagated and grows fast,
I like their architectural statue.

That's wonderful !
I had a tall one once but it suddenly died :( I've got two new ones now, a rubra one and a green one but they are small at the moment.

Oh goodness, it's hard to throw out cutting material, isn't it?

Goodness, gracious, can you put the pot on the floor?

That's one tall plant! 😂 Like you I hate to throw away anything that might possibly grow & at times I have to steel myself to get rid of pruned material! 😂

Unfortunately my rubra has turned to mush as the temperature in my greenhouse must have gone too low for it :(
The green one is fine but it's further in so more sheltered I suppose.
I've timed a heater to come on for a while tonight. This is the worst winter we've had for many years. It's usually mild and wet.

Your very own trifid, Klahanie! I wonder which way it will choose, left or right across your ceiling, or maybe both!

I only bought the rubra last year Klahanie, to replace a very tall one that died. (I bought a green one as well, to go with it) Now it seems I'll have to look for another.
I remember which garden centre I bought it from so I'll be going there soon.
Good idea to have a thermostat. I'm thinking of getting one but since the greenhouse was only built a few months ago I haven't got around to it. Maybe I should have thought sooner, but this cold weather is so rare here it didn't occur to me.

It's a pity you can't sculptor it in two halves circling outwards and round with some wire. It certainly looks very healthy.

Klahanie,
I see you have the same problem as me. Lol
My E. trigona has reached the ceiling and is bending. I need to find a place outside to put it into the ground. They typically grow to 12 to 14 ft here in the ground.
