Very slow progress across the lake today.

This little family was desperate to reach the water's edge...you can see the front one was almost horizontal trying to break the ice with the force of his body in order to make some headway.

It shows just how cold it's been. The river here has been running well but he small long strip of water at the back of the park has been frozen solid and the seagulls were all standing on the ice looking confused.

Think the swan would have found it quicker to fly across, thats assuming their take off runway was clear.
