This Damselfly perched right on the tip of a foxglove and enjoying the warm sunshine, was I think, waiting for her supper which was just below, a juicy greenfly..:)

Beautiful gossamer wings. Bad news for this one I'm afraid. I went down the garden this morning not thinking to see the Damselfly, but there was the stick body, no head or thorax!
So the predator became prey. Probably a bird or a bat late last night...:((

Lovely to see the damselflies around. A pair of red ones laid their eggs in our small barrel pond a couple of years ago.

I haven't seen red ones Linda, what a treat!
There were one or two more last weekend Kate, but none since its been.chilly. I wonder where they go? I do love dragonflies, they're spectacular aren't they..:)
I'm so pleased I took it Ams, it had been pecked at the next day, so didn't survive!
