Thankyou both ... last year those shocking pink Dianthus were very sparse with their flowers but this year ... so many they needed to come in the house! The scent is fabulous! I doubt the Heuchera flowers will last long though.

These are beautiful Shirley and a lovely thing to do.
I used to bring flowers in a vase for Beryl when she became disabled and couldn't go down the garden any more, but haven't done it since she died. I will have to do it for myself now. Flowers are so cheerful and uplifting, it's nice to have them in the house as well as the garden.

They look really beautiful Shirley, I love the rose, it's lovely. Your flowers are much further on being right down south. Saying that, I pruned a nepeta plant the other day and picked 3 yellow roses to add to the prunings in a little vase. I don't usually do it these days..

Janey, the peach coloured Rose came from Woolworths, a patio one, over 20 years ago and still flowers! The Sweet Peas are just beginning to bloom and I do like their scent very much.
