For Rose. My Sound Bath Vibration Healing class

Rose was asking what a Sound Bath was earlier. This is it, once we'd finished this afternoon. Charissa, our teacher's mat and bowls etc.
Singing bowls and gong. Lights are very low.
Very relaxing. Very spiritual. Not for everyone I guess.

It's a great idea Kate , I had a hypnotic cd - still have actually and it works very well, just fall asleep., as a boy whom hates nights!!!

If it helps you to relax Kate....why not. When I was a lot younger I joined a yoga class with a friend and that was good.

That's okay, Rose. It's all about lying down, head supported, keeping warm with your blanket and some quiet time, meditating.
The yoga teacher uses a tool to work round each singing bowl which resonates different noises, or frequencies. It's supposed to interact with your body and the chakras. All about energy and meditation.
I find it's one of the most relaxing and peaceful things I've been part of. Good for the mind, body and soul.

Paul, whatever helps, I do think it's worth trying. We all need a little guidance and help at times in life, whether it's sleep, relaxation, mental health or anything else...just plain old time out!!! All good.

That was when I was young and supple Kate, but it certainly is calming. With two false knees and a false elbow now, I just do gardening, physio exercises, and go walking.

We used to mutter...OOOOOOMMMM ....OOOOOOHHHHH..AAAAAHHHH... bit like a (is it a Mantra? ) can't remember Kate. and breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Yes, that's right, Linda. Often at the end of a yoga class, we have 10 or more minutes meditation. We finish with a mantra, and one we use often is, aaaaaahhhhh ooooohhhhhmmmm.
Vibration/humming. We maybe repeat 10 times.

Yes sounds are very relaxing. Drums and those bowls can really get to you though.
