With the advent of wood pigeons invading our gardens, Snow Showers is being continually pruned at the top, making the lower parts of the branches thick and full of blossoms. I don't mind too much, they're a pain we have to live with!

Gorgeous Janey! I wonder if you could put some chicken wire within the body of the branches to discourage the birds. What a cracking tree!

I am being silly. I have never and would never shoot a bird. Ever!

Thanks Julia and Wild rose..:)
Yes Klahanie, though over the years I've pruned it to fill the space and let light into the garden below.
I've done that Karen, and the monkeys step very carefully over it! Live and let live is my motto now, not including snails or slugs ..haha.
I know you are, but we feel like that sometimes don't we!
Thanks Sheila, it's been in the garden years. Like Kojo no mai with lovely autumn colour too.
Thank you Balc, spring feels like it's on its way at last..:)

Really special little tree. We get a lot of pigeons here but there are Peregrines around......

Spring has arrived - right on time, too, Janey! 🤣

Thanks Muddy, it is particularly good this year..I think it must be the pigeon pruning..:))
They should keep them away Linda. We had a lovely sunny day yesterday, and the tree was full of bees with a small bee getting really agrivated at a bumble in his territory!
Right on time Balc, but back to rain today..spring rain..,:))

The Large Bumblebees are the queens and they collect food for their nest, as they lay eggs for their new colony. They can also fly at a lower temperature than the honeybees because of their (fur coat) to keep them warm.......
