Really lovely...how long has this taken...mine is in its 2nd year and I cant wait to get 2 this stage.

Initially, we planted heathers between the main plants, but as the years progressed we had to take them out as the plants had got so big. The conifers and acers in this part of the garden are 17 years old - but we prune them every year to try to keep them this size. We keep enough space between the conifers, acers and shrubs to be able to put large pots of begonias.
