Each December, our local "Round Table" organisation drives a floodlit Santa and sleigh around the local neighbourhood, collecting for charity, playing Christmas tunes and carols. They've just visited my road, and I took Conker out to wave at Santa with his little white paw, and Santa was waving back to him, all the way down the road. Conker has been very good this year, and I reckon Santa will bring him some special presents. :o)

Conker doesn't know it yet, but Mr. Claptrap has made him the wheel which is in photos on my Toto blogs. That's just one of Conker's presents. He'll be able to press a switch and make the "Millennium Wheel" turn around. He loves doing tricks. :o)

I asked Andrewr if I could please include the photo of Barney the bear wearing wellies. Andrewr replied that Bruno the bear was very upset, that his photo had not been requested, and could I please put on my blog, photos of both Barney and Bruno. Mandy always looks "hang dog" when I try to put a hat or any costume on her....can never get a good pic of her ...she doesn't like to pose...so I try to catch her when she's not aware...then I call her name and snap the pic!!

Hi T.T., I have just seen your lovely photo.

We used to have a Lhasa Aphso that used to let my daughter dress him up. He had several outfits, his favourite was a pink ballet skirt with wrap round pink cardigan, with a headband with wobbling bobbles on top!

We had a shop at that time, he would sit in the window and show off to passers by. He got lots of attention. He could be "in costume" all day.

When Rusty curled up for a sleep in the window, we had a notice that said "yes I am real," that we propped up against him. The children loved to see him. Our village got a rash of little Lhasas, they became really popular breed.

Merry Christmas TT, Conker & Crocus - Has Conker taken off his reindeer antlers whilst resting after last night's exertions? Love from Stephan

Conker is rather sleepy, having helped Santa last night, delivering lots of gifts all around the world.

He flew above Fiji and waved to Panther, sped over Italy and looked in on Terry60, then on to USA and Canada to Skippy, Catfinch, Gilli, CharlieB, and lots more. It was cold, delivering all those gifts up there in the deep snow. He made a final stop in Alaska to leave presents for Greenthumb.

Then it was back over Wales and Scotland, and into his bed. That's where I found him curled up this morning. I had no idea of the adventures he had last night....... but Crocus the budgie says he saw Santa. :o)

Pouring the rain last I noticed when Munchie licked me awake to go out for a potty...everyone but me is now sleeping at 3 a.m....3 on my bed...lol...2 have chosen beds on the floor...I will now try to dose back off till time to get up and get ready to go and open Mud Cat up for the day after Christmas sale day..will make some deeper cuts in my sale prices today...!....will think about ...that picture...not sure who can take the shot...! Must be evening there by now...stay warm. heard from GF that it had gone colder where he is......

It is still dark here...it is 5:35 a.m...I have a busy day once it gets light...have 2 bales of alfalfa hay and 3 bales of Timothy hay in the back of my truck and 200 hundred lbs of grain to unload for the horses,,,and need to feed and water them... then have to go to Mud Cat and pick up packages for family that I wrapped there yesterday between customers ...it is windy, wet & cold...waiting to hear the news to see if it has more snow at my son's....he has had more than us. If that is the case...I will have to see if any of my daughters etc. will need to ride with me...as my truck is 4 wheel drive....I have to figure out which dogs are going to come along...maybe two ......1 for sure.

Conker's hat is held on by a strap under his chin, which doesn't show because of his very furry neck !

Routines Conker has been practising this week include "preparing breakfast" where he puts a toy egg into a plastic saucepan. He then fetches his toy kettle from the little cooker, and opens the toy microwave with his foot, to take out his sandwich. Then collects toy toast from toy pop-up toaster !

Favourite new tricks are where he has a new skill of both opening and closing a lid, and then sweeps the floor with a brush. We really do have fun.

He spends more hours doing housework than I do. Lol. :o)

LOL..where will you put on this show of tricks?

Conker will be performing at the charity dog shows this summer.
Trouble is, you can't guarantee the weather or the type of venue.

Sometimes he ends up doing tricks in the rain, knee deep in long grass ! :o)

I'll try to make a blog some time of his tricks :o)

Terratoonie, I am amazed. Sounds like Conker belongs in Hollywood,
I can easily picture him in an ad for a restaurant that features breakfast, an ad for maids or the appliances.
I wish GOY had a video option so we could view little Conker doing these tasks.

The other day, I told Conker that if the credit crunch really takes hold, he'll have to become a film star ~ maybe doing TV commercials ?

We'll take along his prams, mowers, cookers, microwaves, vacuum cleaners, pianos etc, and earn some money making movies. :o)

He could try to win the canine equivalent of an Oscar ~ a PATSY.
That acronym originally meant Picture Animal Top Star of the Year, but in later years also includes TV, so can now also stand for Performing Animal Television Star of the Year.

I have a mind full of animal facts. LOL.

But,to be honest, I don't think Conker would enjoy the fame.
We like doing the tricks just for fun. :o)

I won't forget the tricks blog when the weather is warmer.

My little grandson Louis, does all the things your dog does - he loves cleaning and cooking plastic food He is the only child I have met, that cleans the toilet after use - the things they teach at his Nursery. (he is four)

I have been told some dogs have a similar intelligence to a five/six year old child. My little Lhasa certainly did

Conker is also four. He doesn't yet clean the loo, but I'm sure you're right about the intelligence of dogs.

Conker can go backwards around the room, pulling a long-handled toy brush, so, in effect, sweeping. The embarrassing thing is that the broom does actually pick up bits off the carpet as he goes, so I have to put those bits in the bin after his trick. :o) Lol.

Sometimes the furniture legs get very slightly knocked, but a small price to pay for the fun my dogs have practising their tricks each day... ;o)

There has been the odd occasion when, while Conker has been walking backwards, towing a toy..... the tow-string has come undone.... and, with the toy now disconnected, Conker has continued his backwards towing around the room...... pulling just a piece of string. Lol.
