So vigorous and strong. Sorry to hear about a frost, but it sounds like the acer comes through and the others are more tolerant. Wishing quick recovery.

Yes Arlene, that's my blue bells. I love the way the flower changes colors once it's been pollenated.
Oh my Aleyna, that's horrible news ! Hope your winter season is fast approaching, please be careful. I'm wishing you the best !
Thanks for the wonderful comments Michaella,Mageth. GT, Deida and Janey, hope all is well in all of your lives, will try and visit all your sites soon to get caught up ! I've been away too long....lol

Beautiful - sorry about the maple , strange when seeing them grow happily in cold conditions in Japan.Wonder if its the wind that does the damage ?
Yellow fever killed by frost Aleyna ? Hope it arrives soon it that case ..sounds nasty.

It may be the winds in Japan that does save them. I think the wind keeps frost from forming, so it doesn't settle on the leaves and kill them. Just a thought, don't really know. I just remember when dad had plants set out in the garden and there was a threat for frost,he would always ask if the weatherman mentioned if the wind would be blowing until after daybreak.

Frost will kill the moskitos, the fever transmitters.
Unfortunatelly the "bugios" - http://www.defender.org.br/uploads/bugios.jpg - who live close to the border with Argentina were infected. The moskitos bite the bugios and propagate the illness.

Oh so sorry about the J-Maple..I asked you a question in another e/m about them... I could send some frost to Aleyna...no problem...it's been terribly cold here this spring...we will go from winter directly into summer nothing like spring around here this year...But how is it that you're getting frosts? Glad to hear that they will bounce back...would be a tragedy to lose the whole tree!

From the way the leaves were drooping, I just knew they were goners, but I got lucky Lori, and didn't lose the leaves after all. They were able to withstand one night with temps below freezing !

Oh that is a relief! will have to send you pics of my scouting trip to Ritchies (in Ottawa)...and the little J-Maples I saw there on Tuesday...it was frosty overnite Tues. as well... they have acres of stuff and they haven't been able to put a lot of it under the mesh yet because our weather has been so cold. I'm going back when the warmer temps arrive...then look out...the flood of pictures will be a tidal wave! lol...

Have plenty of fun for me too Lori ! I'm starting to get excited for you....lol
