did you read in paper today about this lovely plant,, there is a desease about in uk at the moment called wisteria scale i think, its taking all the sap and goodness from the plant and killing them, should keep your eye on your janey, can be treated if caught in time

they are like brown lumps, cant fly but are carried by birds on wings and feet without birds knowing apparently, but mild soapy water is as good as anything it says, hope it doesnt come to that janey

Me too Sandra....sounds like scale insect...I used to have it on a lemon tree and had to rub them off...like blooming limpits!!!....:o)

Janey we have just bought another one, a blue one, and yes we read about the scale insect in the paper, and ours is the same height as yours. So we will be keeping an eagle eye on ours.
